Meet the Team

Christina Hayslip, NKBA | Lead Designer

Hello! I am Christina, owner and lead Interior Designer for Design Wise, established in 2017.

I am originally from the Philadelphia area, but have been living in Colorado since 2006. I received my degree in Interior Design in 2005 from the Art Institute of Philadelphia. I have worked in many areas of design as an Interior Designer, Showroom Manager, Visual Merchandiser and now owner of Design Wise, LLC.

Design is my life. As a child, I lived in a home my parents were continually renovating on their own. I would draw my own dream houses and play with my mom’s kitchen design board with the vinyl cabinetry clings. I grew up enjoying seeing spaces transform and knew from a young age that I wanted to become an Interior Designer. To say I truly love and live all things design is an understatement!

I have always lived on the west side of town – Lakewood or Golden – and currently reside on Green Mountain. Much of my work is done right here in my neighborhood, which I love. I’ve become quite familiar with the Hutchinson Houses and enjoy partnering with other local trades and small businesses.

I spend my free time with my husband, elementary age daughter and college aged bonus-daughter, enjoying community activities, dance-mom duties, and glamping. Monthly, I volunteer facilitating a Young & Widowed support group I created with The HeartLight Center, a non-profit organization for grief support and education, a place and cause very close to my heart. When time allows I also enjoy all things DIY (do it yourself), like renovations and finding unique furniture pieces at thrift stores and giving them a new look.

Thank you so much for taking the time to get to know a little about me!

Annie Jadlos | Design Assistant

My name is Annie Jadlos and I am a 23 year old Colorado native. I am currently in my senior year as a sustainable interior design major at the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design.

I have always been extremely passionate about design, but high school directed me away from the arts. I went to the University of Denver for a year where I studied psychology, but came to the realization that although interesting, it was not for me. After taking a month off from school to figure out a new path, I decided to apply to art school, and the rest is history.

For me, the best part about design is having the ability to transform a bland space into one that reflects the personality of those who live there.

When I am not doing design work you can find me painting, climbing at the climbing gym or on long hike through the mountains with my fiancé.
